"Profiles in Courage: Doctors and Patients in Turbulent Times"
Dr. Pauline Chen became an accomplished transplant surgeon early in her career and she is now widely recognized as one of our country’s most thoughtful commentators about the humanistic dimensions of health care. As Congress considers health care reform legislation, many questions have stirred controversy and divisions. In contrast, Dr. Chen’s voice and insights stand out as a source of thoughtfulness and wisdom about how we can have more humane, respectful and beneficial health care in the United States.
