BOULDER—March 31, 2017—Bob Rowland has joined Caplan and Earnest as special counsel with a focus in health care law. He has worked with both non-profit and for-profit health care organizations and specializes in compliance, health care regulations, physician contracting, corporate law, hospital licensure, medical staff and peer review.
Prior to joining Caplan and Earnest, Rowland was vice president and associate general counsel at LifePoint Health, Inc., a health care provider based in Brentwood, Tenn., that operates 72 hospitals in 22 states. He served on several corporate committees, including the Medical Staff Bylaws Committee and Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH), and most recently oversaw legal operations for twelve (12) hospitals in the Western Group..
With over 17 years of experience as a health care attorney and over 14 years serving as in-house counsel for a health care organization, Rowland has worked on a wide variety of healthcare regulatory matters with senior leadership, department heads, and committees at both the corporate and facility levels, boards of trustees, and physician committees and leaders.
Rowland received his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University School of Law and holds two bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and biblical and theological studies from Wheaton College.
