ICE to Serve More Than 500 New Notices of Inspection

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has confirmed that the agency is serving more than 500 Notices of Inspection to companies throughout the United States this week. According to ICE, the audits will primarily target organizations that have been the subject of complaints about employers who allegedly are engaging in hiring unauthorized workers and paying employees unfair wages or otherwise exploiting workers.

Employers that receive a Notice of Inspection must typically respond within three days of receipt of the notice. If you need assistance in responding to an audit, or if your company’s I-9 files are not ready for such an inspection, please contact Brad Hendrick at 303-443-8010 to discuss your options.
