Since the firm's founding in 1969, our employment law practice has been a significant part of our business, representing clients throughout Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. Currently we represent large and small public- and private-sector employers, school districts, healthcare entities, as well as Colorado growth companies.

Our employment law services include:

  • Advice, training and assistance in handling both day-to-day and more complex employment issues, such as hiring, firing, employee discipline.
  • Preparing or reviewing employee handbooks, anti-discrimination and other workplace policies.
  • Drafting employment agreements, including contracts of employment, non-competes and non-disclosures.
  • Defending against employee's lawsuits or claims in state, federal court, or at the administrative level.
  • Handling traditional labor issues such as grievances and arbitrations.

  • We assist clients in connection with reductions in force by advising them regarding permissible factors to consider when deciding which positions to eliminate and then drafting appropriate severance and waiver agreements.
  • We assist clients when dealing with workplace investigations involving sexual harassment and other types of misconduct.
