U.S. News & World Report recently recognized Caplan and Earnest as Colorado’s only Tier 1 law firm in the area of education law.  In addition, Caplan and Earnest education law attorneys, Richard Bump and Stu Stuller, were selected for inclusion in U.S. News & World Report’s publication "The Best Lawyers in America® 2012." The recognition for Caplan and Earnest arose out of a survey of thousands of law firm clients, leading lawyers, law firm managers, marketing officers, and recruiting officers.  Survey respondents were asked to identify the factors that they considered vital in hiring a law firm and for lawyers seeking employment.

Based on that feedback, six key survey instruments were created: A client survey was sent to 52,480 clients; a lawyer survey was sent to 43,900 lawyers, including every U.S. lawyer listed in Best Lawyers®, as well as other target groups.  A complete description of the methodology can be found at:
