Two of Caplan & Earnest attorneys were recently selected to serve in leadership positions on the Colorado Bar Association Health Law Section’s Executive Council.
Meghan Pound, the firm’s health law practice group lead, was appointed the Council’s secretary, and Matt Ullrich, an associate in the health law practice group, will serve as the Council’s vice chair.
Both Pound and Ullrich have served on the Council since 2016.
At Caplan & Earnest, Pound represents clients in federal and state courts, at both the trial and appellate levels, in administrative proceedings, and in arbitrations. She has handled a wide variety of internal investigations, and has represented individuals, partnerships, public entities, nonprofit corporations, and hospitals. Pound’s work also includes a wide variety of litigation matters and she has particular experience in the defense of hospitals and other medical professionals accused of civil rights violations, employment discrimination, negligence relating to professional review, and false claims act violations.
Ullrich’s practice focuses on HIPAA, Medicaid, Medicare, telehealth, long-term care, behavioral health, and transactions. He routinely works with hospitals, long-term care facilities, home care agencies, managed care organizations, physician group practices, HMOs, provider networks, telehealth companies, and individual practitioners.
