It was announced today that Foundation Physical Therapy, a Denver-based practice specializing in movement disorders and geriatric, orthopedic, and neurological rehabilitation, has sold to Therahand Wellness Center, a Colorado-based company with four physical therapy clinics along the Front Range.
Attorneys Bob Rowland and Gregory James Smith of the law firm of Caplan & Earnest, located in Boulder, Colo., represented business-owner Cara Dobbertin in the transaction and negotiated, documented, and closed the sale.
Dobbertin, who founded Foundation Physical Therapy in 2014, will be staying on as a therapist.
“The team at Caplan & Earnest has been with me since day-one,” said Dobbertin. “They were there for me as a first-time business owner, helping me to establish my private practice, and they were here for me when I transitioned to the next phase of my career.”
Caplan & Earnest’s Business Health Law practice manages many such transactions, including mergers and acquisitions for both independent clinics and facilities, and those that are part of larger healthcare providers and hospitals in Colorado and the U.S.
